INTERNATIONAL CADET CHALLENGE CAMP

Welcome to the official Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force Website. This website is designed to be as user-friendly as possible whilst introducing you to the TTCF and giving you all the Information needed to be well informed of the mode of operations of the TTCF.

Mission of the TTCF

The aim of the TTCF and purpose of its training is to give mental, moral and physical training to boys and girls, so as to form the character of each, to enable the young individual to start well in life and to develop in him/ her the principles of self confidence, self respect and the ability to accept responsibility with power to control himself/ herself and others.

 

ICCC Trinidad 2007

The TTCF Team for the ICCC triumphs!

The Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force sent 25 members to the International Cadet Challenge Camp (ICCC) where they competed against 5 other countries for the title of International Cadet Chapions. Cadet Forces and Corps represented were from the following countries: Commonwealth of Dominica, Cayman Islands, Barbados, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, St. Kitts and Nevis and of course Trinidad and Tobago.

After 7 tasking events including Obstacle Course, Survival Camp, Orienteering, Drill Competition, Commandant's Military Challenge, Triathalon, Sports Day, the TTCF emerged victorious.

Cadet Vocational Qualification Organisation Progromme Launch in Trinidad and Tobago

The Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force will be the first Organisation in the Caribbean region that will undergo the CVQO Programme. The TTCF will be used as the pilot project for the Caribbean. Under the astute leadership of Colonel Edison Isaac, Commandant TTCF, together with Major Jeffery Holder, CVQO Officer, TTCF and Captain Wallace Williams, International Liason Officer/ Verification Officer TTCF, this programme will be launch on Thursday 26th April 2007.

The initial intake will be 60 Cadets and 10 adults who will undergo various aspects of the CVQO training Programme to become qualified in different aspects. These qualifications will serve as equivalents to a minimum of 4 GCE Advance Level Subjects and in recognised worldwide.

PCO Course Barbados 2007

The Trinidad and Tobago Cadet Force was represented by two members:

U/O Teocah Dove and

WO2 Kwesi Riley.

After a grueling 16 Days, they both successfully completed the PCO Course with WO2 K Riley achieving awards for

1. The Commandant's List which is an award given to those who score top marks in the Course and

2. Best in Military Skills.

All the best to these two individuals. The TTCF will benifit alot from their experience.
